METAL MATERIALS

Laser-cut metal panels can be created with aluminum or steel materials. Compared to wood, these materials are stronger, much thinner, and can be bent or rolled after laser-cutting.

COLD ROLLED STEEL

Finish with UV stable powder-coating to showcase an array of colors and textures. All steel should be powder-coated, unless you want a naturally rusted finish.

Maximum Size: 5’ x 10’ - just under
Gauge: 10, 12, 14

*Note, Outdoor applications near salt water should use aluminum.

ALUMINUM

Aluminum is another great choice for exterior use, relatively lightweight, and can be installed outdoors with or without powder-coating.

Maximum Size: 5’ x 10’ - just under
Thickness: 1/8", 3/16”, 1/4”

Outdoor applications near salt water should use aluminum. There are additional finishing considerations for salt water locations and our team can assist you with these details.

METAL POWDER - coat COLORS

For metal materials, we offer a functional and aesthetic finish called powder coating, which is hands down, one of the most durable coatings you can use as a finishing option.

We have created a list of our most popular colors below, however there are more than 5,000 colors offered from Prismatic Powders. Not all Prismatic Powders are suitable, and our in-house project manager’s will assist you with these details from start to finish.

Powder coating

The application of the powder coating is done by electrostatic spray. After application of the powder coating, the panels are entered into a curing oven of 300-degrees, where the addition of the heat makes the powder-coat application very resistant to breakdown.
